National Account Controller – Multiples

Office based North West – North Midlands

To £70,000 + bonus + car + benefits

Our client is an alcoholic drinks business with exciting plans for the future in terms of organic growth and new product development. It manufactures a range of branded and own label products and due to continued growth they now seek an ambitious National Account Controller.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director you will:

• ·         Develop a business plan and sales strategy that will deliver both profit and growth.
• ·         Manage a team of five and also be responsible for the company’s largest multiple account.
• ·         Work within a high calibre senior team and be able to offer your team your knowledge and expertise to raise the bar and implement best practice.
• ·         Have good commercial acumen and strategic thinking, be results driven, analytical & creative.
• ·         Be a team player, motivator & leader.

Your key performance indicators will include developing relationships cross functionally, driving sales and managing the trade promotional spend.  In addition you will develop retailer category plans ensuring they integrate with company and sector strategy.

Ideal candidates will have an FMCG background that has provided them with classical sales training and an understanding of the core needs of account management.  An ability to manage complex negotiations backed up with a grasp of category management is essential. Current experience within the multiple grocery sector is essential.

You will currently be a Senior National Account Manager looking for a bigger career opportunity, within a branded FMCG company or an Account Controller willing to make a sideways move into a Northern Based business.
